Wong Farms Golden Lady Mangos

Wong Farms in Riverside County is one of only a handful of growers in California to grow anything beyond a hobbyist's quantity of mangoes.

The Golden Lady mango is their own selection. It's a seedling variety they identified for its flavor and suitability for the desert climate and have grown out. It's a Haden-type mango, with a round shape (vs a flat mango, like a Manila or Ataulfo). It's sweet like honey and molasses and has a bit of acid to brighten the flavor! 

Wong Farms is known for growing unique varieties of mangos rarely found on the commercial market, and harvesting when the fruit is truly ripe. Compared to many imported mangos, which are harvested much less mature to obtain the weeks-long shelf life needed for long international supply chains, Wong Farms mangos have a richer, more complex flavor.
