Jay's Subtropicals

This subtropical fruit box honors Jay Ruskey, who passed away in February 2026. He planted more than 100 varieties of fruit in his subtropical fruit 'forest' along the coast of Santa Barbara. Many varieties are available only in small volumes. They will be harvested throughout the year by Jay's sons, Aiden and Sean, and the small farm crew. Jay was a pioneer in farming subtropical fruits and coffee in California and we are deeply grateful to continue sharing the efforts of his children and the legacy he leaves behind.

Seasonal boxes may include the following: Feijoa (Pineapple Guava), Strawberry Guava, Ice Cream Beans, Tamarillo, Passion Fruit, Dragon Fruit, Surinam Cherries, and more.
