Gravenstein apples are an annual tradition. In Sebastopol's apple-growing heyday, Gravs were the variety. As apple orchards have turned over to vineyards over the past half century, only a few growers remain. Stan Devoto carries the apple-growing history into the present, growing Gravensteins and more than 100 other varieties of heirloom and specialty apples in Sebastopol.
