Organic Lychee

Our friends at Limelight Groves are tucked in the rolling hills of San Diego County, in a little micro-climate where they can grow subtropical fruit like Lychee! California-grown, tree-ripened Lychee is unheard of, so these are pretty special.

Peel back the red/brown bumpy skin and enjoy the sweet, juicy flesh. It's sweet and floral, with flavors of watermelon, strawberry, and a hint of citrus. There's a small pit in the middle (like sweet cherries!) that should be discarded. 

Store fresh lychee in your fridge for up to 5 days. It's best to keep it moist with a slightly damp towel in a container or bag so it doesn't dry out. Even if the skin discolors or dries, the edible flesh inside is still good.
